My Story: Finding Confidence Through the Lens
Photography started as a creative outlet for me. But it became a healing tool — one that helped me rebuild after life turned upside down.
There was a time when I felt lost in the chaos of roles — mom, business owner, wife, also working a part time job— and somewhere along the way, I forgot who I was.
Then one day, I booked a portrait session for myself to celebrate my divorce. Not because I felt “ready,” but because something inside whispered, “You need this.”
Standing in front of that camera was terrifying at first. I overthought every pose, every expression.
But then something unexpected happened — I stopped performing and started feeling. I felt more alive and proud of how far I’ve come than ever before.
When I saw those photos, I didn’t just see a woman in makeup and good lighting.
I saw me. The woman who had been buried under 26 years of trauma, abuse, doubt, and people-pleasing.
And that moment changed everything. I’m already looking forward to planning a session for my 50th birthday this year!
That’s the day Empowered Lotus Photography was born.
Why I Do What I Do
Every woman who walks into my studio brings her own story — joy, heartbreak, healing, resilience.
My mission is simple:
To help her see herself again.
To create a space where she can breathe, relax, and feel worthy — without filters, expectations, or judgment.
